Frequently Asked Questions

How does Lunchbox by SchoolCash Online (LBOSCO) work?
LBSCO works with schools in your community to create a lunch program specifically for their school. The entire process is managed by LBSCO, with a single point of contact. We work with schools to create their menu, provide an ordering platform to their school community, and provide all the ordering details to our restaurant vendor partners.

How and when do I get paid?
LBSCO (Lunchbox by SchoolCash Online) will pay you on behalf of the school. Payments are processed the week following the delivery. A weekly invoice will be provided by LBSCO (per scheduled school delivery) for your approval. With your approval of the invoice, the payment will be processed and deposited directly by EFT.

What is your fee?
The only cost associated with us is a mere 5% fee on every order you receive through our platform. This fee will be subjected to applicable provincial and federal sales tax and will be deducted from each payment made to you. The fee supports your Lunchbox participation, connects you directly with local schools, and boosts exposure by sharing your menu and pricing.

How do I know if I have an order?
Order dates and details are communicated to the restaurants in multiple ways:

When a school program is confirmed, we will send you a complete list of delivery dates for each school running a program with your restaurant.

Order reports are emailed every Sunday to all restaurants with ordering details and labels for the coming week’s orders.

The day before a scheduled delivery, our website will send you an automated reminder.

Do the lunches need to be peanut-and nut-free? Are there other food allergies to be considered?
Yes, all lunches need to be peanut-and nut-free (made with ingredients that do not contain peanuts or nuts) and prepared in a peanut-and nut-safe environment to ensure there is no risk of contamination. Student specific allergies details will be provided on weekly order reports. Vendors are expected to work in conjunction with schools to provide allergy safe meals.

Who delivers the lunches?
Vendors are responsible to deliver the food and/or beverages directly to the school. If there are any delivery costs associated with your delivery, they should be included in your menu pricing.

Are there specific protocols to be followed when delivering school lunches?
Yes, delivery instructions for each school delivery will be indicated in your vendor confirmation and order report emails. Delivery instructions will vary from school to school.
